The Marketing Communications Specialist will have a global mindset and strategic approach with regard to brand responsibilities across franchises and products, and also be hands-on in terms of producing deliverables, creating and monitoring metrics and adjusting execution, and managing vendors. We are seeking a team player who can work cross-functionally with others such as product/segment marketing teams, international geographic affiliates, Meeting and Events, IT, HR, external partners, and corporate PA/IR.

Marketing Communications Specialist - Global Marketing

Responsibilities

The Marketing Communications Specialist will be responsible primarily for corporate marketing communication and additional projects.

  • Tactical execution of corporate branding. Responsibilities to include development, ongoing refinement and ownership of corporate and franchise Brand Guides, and training and compliance with brand graphic and other standards across all product groups, sites and departments.

  • External internet web site design and execution (including metrics development and tracking) in coordination with IT, Marketing, Public Affairs and other stakeholders. Example sites include corporate Immucor, Personally Precise, and iloveblood.com.

  • Internal intranet site ownership, currently leveraging Sharepoint. Responsible for ongoing improvement of the site, population of relevant content (e.g. sales tools, scientific proof sources, product content, competitive modules), training of Marketing or others to leverage the site to maximize user access, efficiency and effectiveness.

  • E-Marketing tool (current Click Dimensions) and other marketing technologies: Maintain vendor relationships, and own/execute with the Marketing team content development and campaign execution. Development projects may include similar responsibilities with iCOR (Immucor's CRM - Customer Relationship Management) software tool leveraging MicroSoft Dynamics.

  • Creative tool development (graphics and text): Coordination with partners such as trade show vendors or ad agencies, and the marketing team - along with internally-driven content - to ensure effective deliverables are developed for sales collateral (e.g. brochures), e-content, congress graphics, general PowerPoint presentations, video graphics, etc.

  • Social media ownership: Expansion of platforms and ongoing refinement of FB, YouTube, Twitter and Linked In. Content development and posting, metrics creation and tracking, key word search optimization and related activities to optimize user engagement.

Marketing Communications Specialist - Global Marketing

Qualifications

The Marketing Communications Specialist is expected to have a strong external / commercial and marketing mindset, hands-on orientation, and a strong "eye for design". The ideal candidate will have a global orientation (multiple languages a plus but not required), be career-oriented, and ideally have some exposure to a science-oriented environment.

Specific qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree required, ideally in a design, communications or related field

  • Graphic design experience required, proficient in Adobe Creative Suite

  • 2-3 years of related MarCom experience across both the client and agency sides

  • Strong written, verbal and graphic skills and editing skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Proven ability to work effectively with diverse personalities in a tactful, decisive, and resourceful manner.

  • Detail oriented, strong organizational skills with ability to carry out tasks with minimal supervision.

  • Must work on site at corporate headquarters in Norcross, GA

  • May require periodic travel
